Notes: This ORIGINAL 3-sheet poster was designed and printed to promote the first theatrical release of the 1962 comedy feature, MY GEISHA. This is an American 3-sheet, with the Paramount 1962 copyright information at the bottom border. It also states at the bottom, "PRINTED IN ITALY BY RIPALTA-MILAN, RIPALTA ART SERVICE". The poster is folded, as issued, in two separate sections, but with an extra fold. There is some edge and fold line wear, with specks of paper loss. There are a few small pieces of clear tape on the reverse side to reinforce small tears, and cross folds. There is a hint of paper separation at a cross fold. The main graphic image is excellent. There are no other tears, fading, stains, smudges, missing paper, extra folds, or pin holes. There has been NO restoration. The colors are richer and brighter, and the contrast is sharper, than the poor JPEG image suggests. Any glare on the poster is from the digital camera flash.

Shirley as Madam Butterfly will tear your heart out.
Paul Robaix (Yves Montand) is a well known director, married to Lucy Dell (Shirley MacLaine), a famous movie star. Robaix wants to make a movie of the classic play Madame Butterfly, but he doesn't want his wife to play the leading part, as in his previous pictures. Producer Sam Lewis (Edward G. Robinson) and Lucy Dell think up a scheme to get her in the picture after all. Lucy disguises as a Geisha, and gets the leading part in the picture. When Robaix finds out he gets so mad, he wants to divorce Lucy...
