Sir Hugh Casson

A typed letter on personal headed stationery, signed by Hugh Casson with a wonderful comic sketch of an auctioneer about to drop his gavel whilst an assistant holds up a picture for view.
British Architect studied at Cambridge and was professor of interior design at the Royal College of Art (1953-75). He directed the architecture of the Festival of Britain (1948). Presendint of the Royal Academy (1976-84). Knighted in 1952.
